I have what looks like the same tool you used and it is nearly impossible to remove or tighten them. My left screw came out and my display case is warped now.

Re: Macbook Pro Modding: Resurrection of the Rainbow Apple

Well, at least you found a use for that IGDA membership. :)

Re: Macbook Pro Modding: Resurrection of the Rainbow Apple

hey dude. so i broke the frame around the screen of my macbook pro 15 in. im thinking i'll just buy another frame on ebay or something and install it myself instead of going to the professionals because they are basically charging me 1000 dollars to get my frame replaced and installed. should i follow the same steps you posted on here? will connecting the new wiring on the new frame be simple enough to do on my own? please get back to me. i love my mac. email me if u can at chinesefo0o0od66@yahoo.com

Re: Macbook Pro Modding: Resurrection of the Rainbow Apple

Happy Macbook Pro Hacking!

Mustafa K. Putting the Macbook Pro back together is actually easier than taking it apart. This is mostly due to the missing prying part.

Fiddling the tiny screws back into their hard-to-reach places might prove to be a little annoying, but not any more than removing them. It helps to hold the notebook with the screen panel placed on a flat surface, on its back so to say, and then to slide the screws in place.

Gravity will be your friend.

Mustafa K. Thanks for the sticker from EclipseCon. Too bad, that I am missing out on it this year again :'(

I love Neil Estacio's "Go Code." sticker. I remember first seeing it on Robert Scoble's notebook. I had been looking for one of those ever since. Until I shared an office with Neil himself in SMO. He had run out of them, but sent emails back and forth to figure out who had some left over. Somebody in MTV had a stack left over and I picked them up when we flew up there for the presentation.

Mustafa K.
